We are off to climb the mountains to the Poás Volcano National Park. Appreciate the active crater of this 8,884 foot-high magnificent natural amphitheatre, which regularly emits a plume of fumaroles steam. No matter how much you have thought of being at the rim of a volcano, this is more than you ever expected.
Lunch at a rustic restaurant. Visit the Sarchí marketplace. Symbollic of a simple but colourful lifestyle, the hand painted oxcart is a tradition that dates back to over a century ago.
