This morning, we venture into the Central Valley for a very enriching visit to the Butterfly Farm. Then, its onto the Pan-American Highway for a two-hour drive through the splendid scenery of the evergreen and blue mountains until we reach the fascinating world of the Orchids Farm.

Combine the magic and intrigue in the world of the colorful butterflies, with the opportunity to learn about the beautiful world of orchids.  Lunch on the way and back to the hotel.

An interesting fact is that Costa Rica has more butterflies per square meter than the whole continent of Africa. 
About 9,000 different kinds of flowering plants grow in the country, including more than 2,000 species of orchids.
