In a small country nestled amidst the Central American Isthmus, many unveiled wonders still laid waiting to be discovered by the most sensible souls. We were two discerning dreamers, who decided to share with the world our joy of living the warmth, beauty, and peace that set down the character of this splendid paradise, Costa Rica.
Forty years ago, our love for this country encouraged us to bring together an innovative spirit and contagious dynamism to boost the tourism industry in Costa Rica. TAM Travel Corporation, a travel design family owned business, was founded. Three years later, American Express appointed us as Representatives for all divisions, status held for 25 years.
Pioneers in the incentive travel, year 1990, marked our making of a dream, when we began to develop a 5-star property: the Costa Rica Marriott Hotel and Resort, featuring many details that mirror the history and lifestyle of our nation.
We have devoted fervently to our enterprise, which has positioned TAM Travel Corporation as a leading travel outfitter and tour operator.
Along its 40 years in business, TAM has achieved many prizes; among them, TAM Travel Corporation achieved the Gold Status in the “Pinnacles of Excellence” Program with Maritz Travel (Fortune 500 number 178), in 2002 and 2004, as a result of our efforts to deliver above and beyond the service expectations of our clients.
We are pleased to have this opportunity to share with you Costa Rica, our land of birth and a very special corner of the world.
