Owners, Principals, and Officers:TAM is a Corporation duly organized and registered under the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. It is a stock company owned business. The Castro Family owns all the stock.
TAM is Costa Rica´s leading travel outfitter and tour operator. Together with our team of qualified professionals, TAM is involved in every facet of tourism in Costa Rica, including Special Interest Groups, Incentive Programs, Shore-Excursions, Ecological Venues, In-bound Operations, and the development of the magnificent Costa Rica Marriott Hotel San José.
The company´s Board of Directors, of which Mr. and Mrs. Castro are President and Vice-President, along with other Directors of renowned professional backgrounds in our country, constitute our strategy think tank. Mr. and Mrs. Castro are 100% actively involved on a day-to-day basis. A General Manager coordinating a highly educated and trained team, insures that strategic visions become reality.
TAM Travel Corporation has diversified into different fields, becoming a comprehensive travel consortium with several subsidiary companies devoted to a specific aspect of Costa Rica´s travel and tourism industries. This means we are capable of rendering absolutely any service an individual traveller or group requires.
Foreign Individual Traveller (FIT´s) & Special Interest Groups Management. TAM operates journeys and tours throughout Costa Rica. Our main headquarters are located in San José, with a branch office near Daniel Oduber International Airport in Guanacaste Province. A network of fully staffed travel centers is located within the principal hotels of that region and at other hotels in San Jose. All of our operations count with comfortable air-conditioned motor coaches, professional bilingual tour guides, a completely computerized reservation system, and a trained, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Destination Management Company (DMC) creates comprehensive and uniquely designed travel programs for incentive groups. DMC´s team of specialists use their in-depth knowledge of incentive travel to plan and execute exciting itineraries. The ability to exceed customer´s expectations is the direct result of our full commitment to creativity and our expert management of the logistics involved.
Shore Excursions Management provides the delights of the most carefully planned itineraries for shore excursions and turnaround programs. Emphasis is placed on extended (pre and post) land packages designed to meet the most challenging and discriminating travel expectations. We work in conjunction with the finest cruise lines on both the Pacific and the Atlantic Coasts.
TAM Catering is the exclusive provider of a wide variety of fresh and delicious foods and beverages for all TAM divisions and the Costa Rican corporate market. This subsidiary also includes Hacienda Villa Hermosa, a cozy, yet elegant countryside venue, providing everything from native Costa Rican to the most sophisticated cuisine for our groups and private customers.
Hotelera Cali, S.A. was the main developer of the five-star Costa Rica Marriott Hotel and Resort located halfway between downtown San Jose and Juan Santamaria International Airport.
